We caught up with Andrew from iRIDE to hear his thoughts on the Workride program and all things cycling…
What has your experience been like with Workride so far?
“So far, with our partners at WorkRide we’ve been able to help get folks back on bicycles, that may not have been on a bike for years right through to those who have been looking to upgrade but didn’t have the upfront available funds to write out one big cheque, vs the benefits of the WR salary sacrifice"

What do you think makes Workride a great option for people considering a bike?
“The ’salary sacrifice’ element is a 'no-brainer' if you are interested in riding a bicycle. WR enables a very chunky discount with the ability to access ‘pre-tax dollars’, so that any post tax dollars can go into other important things (mortgage, holiday, savings etc). The discounts on offer can often be greater than the wholesale price of the bike to The Dealer, so the incentive is compelling.“
If you could have any bike right now, what would it be and why?
“I don't own a trail bike right now, and riding trail is about having more fun and doing more laps, so the bike I would look seriously at would be the Specialized Levo SL. A little bit of help up the hill, on a light eMTB platform means more runs and more fun! “
What are you currently riding, and where’s your favourite place to ride?
“I'm a riding gypsy, I love many styles of riding a bike. Just lately I have been back riding the famous ‘Akas Loop’ on the road bike after many years of not riding it, such an awesome ride, and showcase of how beautiful the Wellington region is.”
